Endless-Summer Trail Run Description – Lebanon Hills – Jensen Lake 10KM:
Remember when you were a kid and the summer days were hot, relaxing and seemingly endless? Well, as adults we still get that, usually just on the weekends and holidays… until now. The Endless Summer Trail Run Series is the brain-child of two of the most passionate trail-running main-stays in Minnesota, Twin Cities Running Company (TCRC) and Rocksteady Running Endurance Events. The series was created to provide low-key, low-pressure trail running / racing opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and levels of experience. Weather you are a seasoned trail or road racer, first time trail-racer, need a tune-up for your next race, need to get in some speed-work or just want to have some pizza, pop and beer with us at the finish – running one or all of the races in the series is for you. Lebanon Hills County Park is a scenic retreat in the heart of Eagan, MN. One of the favorite trail running venues in the Twin Cities, Lebanon Hills offers excellent single and double-track trails and a bunch of picturesque lakes to take in while you run. The course will consist of a fun and very run-able 10KM course.
Registration will open Monday March 24th. Registration for each race will close once the field limit of 400 runners has been met or, if the field limit has not been met then it will close on the Monday night just prior to the race at 11:59 PM. If the field limit is not met there WILL BE race-day registration available until the field limit has been met. The fee is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 on race day (if available).
Refunds – Transfers – Switches:
Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstance, race registrations are not transferable to other participants, other ESTRS races, future years races or other Rocksteady Running events. Please consider these factors very carefully before registering.
Race-Number Pickup & Race Day Registration:
You can pickup your number or register on race day starting at 5:00 PM. Race-day registration closes at 6:00 PM or once the field limit has been met.
Race Numbers & Timing Chips:
You must wear your race number and it must be clearly visible on the front of your body at all times. Your timing chip will be affixed to the back of your race number. Do not remove your timing chip. Do not bend or fold your timing chip or crumple your race number – this may break your timing chip. Your race number and your timing chip must be pinned on your outer-most layer at all times. Above guidelines must be followed in order ensure that split times and finish times are recorded. This chip is disposable and does not need to be returned.
The course will be marked with Orange flags, which will always be on the left hand side of the trail except in areas with two way traffic, in which case flags will be on both sides of the trail.
It is unfortunate but is not unheard of at many of the major trail races that course vandalism has occurred and flagging has been intentionally moved or removed by small minded individuals – it is important that you study the course maps prior to running and have a concept of where you are going.
The course will have 1 aid station around the mid-point of the race. We will offer water, Hammer Heed and Coke.
Due to our past experience with people wearing headphones on trail runs such as these, we discourage their use however we won’t tell you can’t wear them . Full awareness of one’s surroundings, and the ability to communicate with other participants, race volunteers, and trail users unassociated with the event are critical to everyone’s safety. Please use common sense.
Don’t do it. If you see some trash someone else has dropped, pick it up and help keep the trail clean.
Back by popular demand, all registered runners will receive a unique French 5K beer glass – run all four races and collect all four glasses!
1st Place Overall Male and Female
We will be serving Pizza, Pop and Beer after the race – please stick around and meet some new people – this is what this race is all about – enjoying summer to its fullest, meeting new people and COMMUNITY. Please note, that in order to have a beer after the race, you will need to show ID just as you would have to at a bar / restaurant.
We will post results right after the race. Preliminary race results will be posted on our website within a few days of the end of the race and final results with any revisions will be posted within a few weeks.
We are always looking for them – if you are interested, please contact us.
