Start Location: French Regional Park, Plymouth, MN
Start Time: 6:30 PM

Endless-Summer Trail Run Description – French 5K:
Remember when you were a kid and the summer days were hot, relaxing and seemingly endless?  Well, as adults we still get that, usually just on the weekends and holidays… until now.  The Endless Summer Trail Run Series is the brain-child of two of the most passionate trail-running main-stays in Minnesota, Twin Cities Running Company (TCRC) and Rocksteady Running Endurance Events.  The series was created to provide low-key, low-pressure trail running / racing opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and levels of experience.  Weather you are a seasoned trail or road racer, first time trial-racer, need a tune-up for your next race, need to get in some speedwork or just want to have some pizza, pop and beer with us at the finish – running one or all of the races in the series is for you.  French Regional Park Reserve is a fantastic city park with a great circuit of trails.  The course consists of a fun and very run-able 5K loop – there are a few steep hills thrown in, just for fun.

Registration:
Registration will open on Tuesday January 22nd, 2013.  You can register online or fill in the online form, print it and mail it in your check.  Online registration for each race closes on the Tuesday night just prior to the race at 11:59 PM, however there WILL be race-day registration.  The fee is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 on race day.  Please note that we do not offer refunds and will not transfer numbers to another runner if you cannot run so please consider carefully before registering.

Race-Number Pickup & Race Day Registration:
You can pickup your number or register on race day starting at 5:00 PM.  Race-day registration closes at 6:00 PM

Race Numbers &  Timing Chips:
You must wear your race number and it must be clearly visible at all times.  We  will be using chip timing for the race.   Your chip will be on a velcro strap that you should attach to your right or left ankle only – no other spot on your body is acceptable.  You must wear your chip at all times.

Course Markings:
The course will be marked with Orange flags, which will always be on the left hand side of the trail except in areas with two way traffic, in which case flags will be on both sides of the trail.
It is unfortunate but is not unheard of at many of the major trail races that course vandalism has occurred and flagging has been intentionally moved or removed by small minded individuals – it is important that you study the course maps prior to running and have a concept of where you are going.

Aid Stations:
The course will have 1 aid station around the mid-point of the race.  We will offer water, Hammer Heed and Coke.

Headphones:
Due to our past experience with people wearing headphones on trail runs such as these, we discourage their use however we won’t tell you can’t wear them . Full awareness of one’s surroundings, and the ability to communicate with other participants, race volunteers, and trail users unassociated with the event are critical to everyone’s safety.  Please use common sense.

Swag:
In order to keep this a low cost event, we don’t do t-shirts but all registered runners will receive a custom coffee mug unique to the event, more info HERE.

Littering:
Don’t do it.  If you see some trash someone else has dropped, pick it up and help keep the trail clean.

Awards:
1st Place Overall Male and Female

Post-Race Festivities:
We will be serving Pizza, Pop and Beer after the race – please stick around and meet some new people – this is what this race is all about – enjoying summer to its fullest, meeting new people and COMMUNITY.

Results:
We will post results right after the race.  Preliminary race results will be posted on our website within a few days of the end of the race and final results with any revisions will be posted within a few weeks.

Volunteers:
We are always looking for them – if you are interested, please contact us.

Next years race date:
Pending.
